This is a knife of superb quality for the price po

While maybe not as in favor as some modern steels, the AUS 8 blade is extremely sharp and the finish Swiss Tech uses for their AUS 8 steel is excellent. The handles are finely machined (I believe the black are G10 and the green are micarta?) and grippy. Opening and closing the action is smooth and glass like. Swiss Tech and Walmart really knocked it outta the park with this one, and should be very proud of this product. I collect Benchmades and Spyderco 's, and am very pleased to add this Swiss Tech Wurdig to my collection.

Excellent budget knife!

I was totally shocked by this knife! Quality for the price is fantastic. opening action is smooth and very quick. Micarta handle also first rate and something you normally see on much more expensive knives. a slight ding, I'm not big on the thumb disk but the action is so fast and smooth I just use the flipper. Blade has a great edge straight from the box. Only thing missing that I wish the knife had is JIMPING. Regardless this knife is a diamond in the rough!

Like ALL SwissTech products the packaging is gift grade. The Wurdig knife I bought has the black G10 handle scales. I already own the green canvas Micarta one. Both are a great size for pocket carry. The pocket clip on both is the world's most perfect pocket clip, in my opinion. It has a gentle/smooth fit on jean pockets and dress slacks alike. The 3 inch blade is a good length for most cutting tasks. The action of the knife is controlled by ceramic ball bearings. The bearings offer a very velvety smooth operation. The AUS 8 steel used in the knife holds an edge well, as good as a Swiss army knife, anyway. It is reasonably quick to sharpen up and strops to a scary sharp edge. The knife lacks belly but has a similar design to a butter knife. This enables tasks like cutting butter, spreading mayo, ketchup, peanut butter, etc. The liner lock; locks up well and has a muted "click", when it opens. The knife just WORKS! When I bought the Micarta version it was $29.99 the G10 version was $35.99. The black G10 version is a good fit for business environments or for tuxedo wear. I use my Micarta Wurdig for day to day tasks, and the G10 version for nice/special occasions. Both are elegant, but the black G10 one has just a touch more elegance. This is due to the black/red/gray color scheme. I don't work with nor am I affiliated with SwissTech or Walmart. I'm just a guy that has been into knives since I was 8 years old. For $35.99 you CANNOT go wrong with either version of this knife. In fact, at this price point coupled with the quality of Swiss Tech products I have used thus far, I would recommend just buying both versions. If you're the type of person who is "hard" on their pocket knives, you might want to buy 3 or 4 of these and keep them in stock for yourself. After using this knife for the past 3 months I have nothing but good things to say about the Wurdig. Both models that I own came with blades that were perfectly straight in the handle. Razor sharp, no loose screws, no blade play, perfect uniform finishes everywhere. I would recommend this knife for anyone who wants a high quality pocket folding knife, at a fair price, with the availability offered by Walmart being everywhere.
