Black & Decker 11 Cup Dicing & Slicing Performance Food Processor

This appliance isn't just good looking, it's also hard working. The different types of items that can be peeped with this is amazing. This is our first food processor so when we saw it we were a little intimidated. But with the help of the instruction booklet and YouTube we were able to get 5his appliance going and just in time for the holidays. We were able to dice everything we needed as well as puree items. I was amazed that a 10 second burst could dice 4 large onion. This machine is a game changer for us. It comes with so many attachments as well as a cute utility cabinet to put it all in. Putting it together was so easy although I had to use videos to show how to get it going because the instructions, although great, lacked some basic, first time owners instructions.

This was shipped quickly and well packaged. Upon unpacking the contents were also undamaged. Everything that was listed was indeed present. There's a lot of plastic with the packaging. I've never used a food processor and this one has so many little additions and perks, it was a bit overwhelming. Not really a big deal. I knew what I was getting myself into... or at least I thought I did. I've always known Black and Decker for their power tools. Not high end tools, but they get the job done. This food processors is much the same way. It gets the job done and it does everything well. The processor claims do slice dice chop and mix dough. It does indeed do all of these things and efficiently and not too terribly noisy either... thankfully. I don't suggest using the high setting on most things. It'll pulverize stuff, just like a blender... (Not unless that's what you're going for anyway. I don't recommend using it as a blender though). It has a a nifty case to hold all of your blades and attachments. I don't really like the design of the case and I think that the doors should be a bit better designed. They overlap some and the top prevents the lower door from opening without catching it so you essentially have to open the top one to get to the lower one... other than that, it fits everything well. The processor has two bowls, one an 11 cup and it's marked clearly up to the 8 cup mark and then there is a clear indention stating max, which I took to mean 11 cups. I didn't fill this to capacity to double check. The 4 cup bowl is an insert that goes inside the 11 cup bowl and has a separate disk (S Blade) for its' smaller size. The 4 cup bowl is not marked with indicators of how much you've filled it up. The processor is constructed of decent materials and seems very sturdy and well made. I think that this will at least last the duration of the manufacturer's warranty, if not longer. I think you might be pleasantly surprised with this appliance. I do not know the price of the appliance so I can't say yea or nay whether it's worth the price or not, but I know it does what it claims to do. So my tentative supposition would be, that this processor is reasonably priced as most other Black and Decker products are.
