Roomy kitchen sink

We had this installed on our new build. We live how roomy it is and a joy to wash dishes. We did buy a grid rack to have on top of the sink to prevent scratches

Scratches easily

We bought this an an option to our new home. At closing the builder noticed it was scratched before we even looked at it. He said he would replace it. After using it for a few weeks we noticed that we scratched it as well even using a rubber sink pad!. Since it would be a major job to replace (having to remove all faucets and granite top) we decide to let them call in a expert to buff it out. It worked great and 98% of the scratches were removed. However weeks later there were many scratches again even with the protection. This sink is a scratch magnet. We just have to live with it.

Hello Charles Long and thank you for the feedback you posted on the Moen website about your Moen 1800 Series 30” x 21” Stainless Steel 18 Gauge Single Bowl Apron Front Kitchen Sink. Most stainless products can/will scratch/scuff from everyday use; however most will blend over time to create a unique finish. We suggest using a Scotch Brite nylon pad, usually dark red in color. Wet the pad and sprinkle a little Zud powder cleanser or Comet cleanser on the wetted surface of the sink. Rub lightly with the grain of the steel. This will hide surface scratches/scuffs. If the scratches are deep, this will not hide them. The scratches will be less noticeable, but it will not hide them. Do not rub against the grain or in a circular motion, or this will mar the finish.
