Our 18 year old built-in Frigidaire Gallery microwave oven died and we needed a replacement quickly. This was the only brand and model that fit into our existing surround. We love it. It is very attractive, spacious, heats quickly and evenly, and is very quiet. We're just hoping it lasts for 16 years like our last one did.

Can be used as a built in!
We were looking for a budget friendly microwave to replace the dead Whirlpool microwave we only had for 2 yrs that came with our newly built house. I wanted to keep the existing trim kit for the built in to save money, and am happy to report it fits this new micro (I triple checked measurements before purchasing!). Walmart's website didn't specify whether this unit could be used in a built in situation, but it does! You do need to buy a trim kit if you don't already have one to hide the gap between the cabinets and the microwave. Be sure to buy the right size. We immediately turned off the child lock feature, which was very annoying as it locked us out for 30 mins at the very beginning. It is now permanently disabled, so no more having to deal with that. It works great and we are happy to have saved money on a more affordable micro and to be able to use our existing trim kit. Win win!
