SuperFriends: The Complete Collection

Great collection of great cartoons from my childhood. This series is what started my love for comic books and anything super hero related. Excellent deal

Man, I have been wanting a set just like this for probably 10 years now. I haven't watched through it all yet, but it's great reliving childhood memories from a simpler time. It's got everything in it. They don't call it "Complete" for nothing! There is something to be said for superheroes that are not so jaded and gray, as they are often now. Heroes you can look up to and be inspired by. Good vs Evil, black/white plot lines have value, something that isn't always championed today as much. I say all of this as someone who loves the Dark knight trilogy and The Batman, as that certainly works best with a character like him. On the flipside, I see someone like, say, Superman, who really shines in the more traditional super-stories that Super Friends has to offer. It's excellent family entertainment; little kids can actually watch these derring-dos and it's infinitely charming as an adult.
