Sunbeam Retro Radio Heater (SFH5264MW-UM)

Bought this during Thanksgiving to prepare for the coming winter freeze. Works great. Knobs and casing are secured on. Not as hot as ceramic, but is just one level below. That may be due to how powerful the fan is, where as with a lower fan speed it may possibly have been hotter (this unit has only one fan speed for all heat selections). But the benefit of this unit over a ceramic heater is how quickly it can heat with its powerful metal blade fan. Do know that air flow is white noise that can drawn out low music or watching a movie. Not a problem in the bathroom. The grill is plastic. When I turn it on high and leave the bathroom door for 3 minutes, I come back to the bathroom with it noticeably warmer. Same with bedroom. Its heating level is still up there; On high and placed a foot away from the body will make you hot when its 30 degrees. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought one of these a few years ago on clearance for 10 bucks. It followed me everywhere day and night for YEARS. I love to have a fan running pretty constantly and hate the bulkiness and unsightliness of table top fans. This cutie was PERFECT. If it was cold, the heat was perfect and cozy. Adjustable heat and power settings customize to your needs. If it was hot, the fan packs a punch and the power again is adjustable. It's no exaggeration to say that the power stayed on almost constantly from the moment I bought this. Then...I knocked it off a dresser and killed the fan :( Can't even say how happy I am that this is still available! Yeah, I paid full price this time. Because it's worth it! Got #2 on the way!
