I used this stuff when I was a teenager in the 70s ,great that it's still around. I just kind of sprayed it on my hair and comb it through with a brush, it bleached it out. I have dark hair so it gives it orange tint. just like it says on the bottle ,it works good. I'm able to take my plum colored hair dye, run it through my hair and it shows
