Got this for my son. He is 12 and we took it out and it did well, did take on some water but we put it through it paces and then some fliped it on purpose (took a lot) to see exactly how far you could push it. Saw it needed some screws tightened should stop the water when we do that. 180 lb. Adult ride in it did excellent. Well worth the money...

Don't pay attention to bad reviews

Purchased the Sun Dolphin Journey 10 for my 6'3" son in law. He wanted a light weight kayak for fishing that he could carry by himself and would fit in his minivan. He is very happy with it and has plenty of leg room, he did take the adjustable foot rests out though. He had no problem with it being unstable and tracked just fine (he is tall but not overweight). Actually went faster than he thought it would. Said it was the best birthday gift he ever received and a real bargain at the price.

Excellent kayak for $300

Kayak was only $300 and was supposed to come with thigh pads, paddle leash, and fishing rod swivel rod holder. It is missing the leash and pads but did come with a paddle. At other retailers the kayak cost North of $320 up to $450. You can beat the price and is a great bang for your buck. fyi- contact for customer service regarding missing parts or to apply discount:Walmart's # is 800-925-6278.
