Tell pesky parasites to ‘bug off’ with Hartz UltraGuard Dual Action Topical Flea & Tick Prevention. Each convenient and easy to apply, single dose tube kills fleas, brown dog and deer ticks, and flea eggs for 30 days. Formula stays on and doesn’t rub off. Use only on dogs or puppies 15-30 pounds, 12 weeks of age and older. Package contains 3 monthly applications. Directions: Remove one applicator tube from package and hold in an upright position away from your face. Twist dispensing tip clockwise about 1/2 turn while pushing down to break the tube's seal. Do not remove the dispensing tip. Position the tip of the tube at the base of the pet's back between the shoulder blades and squeeze out the entire contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from the shoulder blades along the back to the base of the tail. The treated area may appear oily after application. Repeat every month. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged or medicated pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amount of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Directions for Use It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.Important! Read entire label before each use.1. Remove one applicator tube from the package and hold in an upright position pointed away from your face.2. Pull off cap. Turn the cap around and place on top of tube.3. Simply press cap down to break the seal of the tube. remove cap carefully.4. Position the tip of the tube on the dog's back between the shoulder blades. Use the tip of the rube to part the dog's hair so that the product will be applied at skin level. Begin squeezing out the contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from the shoulder blades along the dog's back to the base of the tail.5. Repeat every month. (I previously wrote a review on the Hartz flea comb (5 stars,) for more info check there. I'm too lazy to copy paste, let alone write it again.) I tried the more expensive topical from a different brand... spoiler alert! It didn't work. The fleas basically gave me the finger and said "Hold my beer." I didn't really expect this less expensive Hartz topical to work, but desperate measures and all that. Oh, ye of little faith! I applied it to my 2 dogs (one short hair, one long hair.) The flea battle with my long hair dog has been ongoing. Expensive. Nerve wracking. Within 24 hours of applying the Hartz topical, the fleas were gone. GONE. It's been 2 weeks and doggo's beautiful fur is growing back, he no longer constantly scratches and pulls out his fur so he is starting to look like a dog again vs looking like a male lion. Or hairless cat. I ordered three more. Definitely recommend!

Increased in price but not in quantity or quality, make that make sense! Same product, not happy about that. However, this topical always works for my dogs with a combo of a flea collar. Lasts about a month. 1st couple of days it's very strong and oily but after that it distributes throughout the dogs skin and fur and it is a very effective flea preventative.
