I was wrong; they work fine.

I had to write this review to correct my last review. These ink cartridges work just as they are intended to work. I reviewed the last one and said it was horrible, and that the yellow tape was missing so it had dried out. WRONG!! The yellow tape was on the top, not the bottom where it had always been on past products. Also, it had curled into a little tube so the yellow was not visible, and I didn't see it at first. Once removed the cartridge worked as it should as do the three colored cartridges from this most recent purchase.

Small but functional.

These ink cartridge replacements are factory for my printer, they are small by design so if you do a lot of printing they will need to be replaced more often, they are good for light duty home use.

DO NOT UPDATE FIRMWARE!

Epson makes good stuff. The colors are bright, and installation is easy. My main gripe is the price. A set of Epson cartridges cost three times what third party ones do, over $60.00. Although Epson stated they would not lock out third party ink cartridges, they've put code in their firmware updates that does just that without telling the consumer. I just had to return a set of cartridges that my printer won't accept. That set of OEM cartridges cost 2/3 the price of a new printer!
