This is my favorite drawing paper!

I use this drawing paper for my art quilt sketches. The quality is great! I am able to sketch heavily on this stock, yet I can use a light source and layer a clean piece of the drawing paper over my sketch and see through it. This enables me to get a cleaner 2nd sketch.

Very nice paper

I took 2 online classes this year that unexpectedly began with tutorials on making your own sketchbooks. After doing some research on paper types, I shopped for paper by the roll. This layout bond paper was recommended to me for pencil and ink sketches. It works very well. Paper rolls are handy because the paper can be cut to almost any size I need, and rolls store easily out of the way. I especially like that I can make sketchbooks with several paper types and colors, or use the same roll of paper for an original drawing on a card or a framed illustration. Since I use the same paper in a sketchbook, I know how the media will respond on that surface. Buying paper by the roll has been an affordable and versatile option.
