Straight Outta Compton (4K Ultra HD) [UHD]

Let me start out by saying that when I watch movies I tend to get distracted, lose focus, or fall asleep and have to keep pausing or rewinding. Despite the extended version of this movie being 2 hours and 45 minutes long, I never once lost interest or had a wandering mind. It kept me glued to the TV the entire time. Fantastic movie that tells the story of the origins of NWA, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. The soundtrack has so many of my favorite songs I grew up with. In 4K with HDR, the picture was very crisp and clear. The lighting during the concern scenes really shone with the HDR. The DTS:X audio track was also very impressive during these concert scenes. The subwoofer was working overtime and really got the house shaking, and all the music just kept urging me to turn it up more. The dialog and more subdued scenes were clear and easy to understand. The audio mix really did this movie justice. My order was fulfilled by the third-party seller GRUV Entertainment. That experience was mediocre. It shipped quickly and I received what was expected, however they shipped it in a simple bubble mailer and the plastic case was absolutely demolished (anybody who has ordered from Gruv knows what I am talking about). Luckily the discs were fine, and I wasn't too bothered since I had purchased a Straight Outta Compton Blu-Ray Steelbook to put it in anyway. The digital copy was a Movies Anywhere code for the 4K version of the film that was still valid as of 5/2024.
