My First and Probably Last Seiko

So, what I learnt after buying my first Seiko? That their bracelet's and straps are complete garbage and apparently whomever they have aligning their bezels, might enjoy his Sake… a little too much. I also should add that the watch arrived magnetized. So… also watch out for that. After demagnetizing, the watch was only losing 5 seconds a day (before it was very erratic, plus 5 to 60 seconds a day). By the first couple of paragraphs and title, it gives the impression that I don't really like this watch, which isn't true, I do like it, I just feel that it's way overpriced (especially if the original price was $750). The bracelet and strap are of very low quality, and not worth the extra money. Minus the fact that the steel bracelet color and case color do not match, not exactly sure how that happens. The dial is what drew me to the watch in the first place, I really like how the color transitions with the turtle shell pattern. The case looks so much better in person, and you can really see how turtles have inspired the shape of the case. This includes the bezel, especially from a side view. Now, I also have to say that this watch has the smoothest and best bezel action I've ever felt. An additional bonus is that this turtle version (other Seiko turtles use Hardlex) has a sapphire crystal. Final thoughts… this is a watch I do plan to keep and if you really like turtles you might find this watch very appealing to you also. You just might want to find a better strap and or bracelet and pray to the watch gods, your bezel aligns.
