I love my dog and choose his food carefully. I choose this for the lack of grains, the quality of ingredients, and the healthy fiber. My dog loves the food so much I also use the pieces as treats. When we use another brand his BMs are smaller. I feel the larger, healthy BMs are for his gut bacteria, risk of cancer and general digestion and health. I recommended this food to a friend who recently adopted a senior chihuahua who -- the poor thing -- had to strain and struggle to pass poop and often couldn't defecate for days!! When she could finally poop it was dark and very hard. The poor little thing must have been MISERABLE in addition to being unhealthy due to absorbing all those toxins in her bowels!!! I told my friend about this food. After she switched from Pedigree to this brand the little chihuahua began enjoying 1-3 regular, comfortable, not-painful BMs every day consistently. She is much happier!!! For a grocery store food, I think this is the best. I feel good about it.
