Stamina Seated Upper Body Exercise Bike, 8" Stride, Tension Resistance, LCD Monitor, 250 lb Weight Limit

I sustained shoulder injuries (to both). I am currently in P/T although I am functional, ambulatory, etc but in need of re-building strength in my shoulders and arms. There is a machine like this one at the P/T center and I get a lot out of using it. Every other exercise there (at the center) I can do at home except for the machine. I looked EXTENSIVELY online to buy a machine like the one at the center. Except for machines costing many thousands ALL were tabletop models. The reviews for EVERY tabletop model contains comments from customers remarking on how they slide about and annoyingly move around whether the units have underneath pads, rubber feet or suction cups. The STAMINA COMPANY model was the ONLY affordable one I found that was not tabletop. I had two doubts in my mind as I considered buying it. First, would assembly be difficult and second would the actual construction of the unit be flimsy. Nonetheless I bought and this is what I found out: Regarding the first, assembling the unit was quite manageable due to precision-made parts-- screws, bolts, washers etc AND the Manual was thorough, instructive and intelligently written. Assembly was not complicated. Second, the unit itself-- the frame, the body, the seat, the hand rotation mechanism--ALL OF IT was extremely QUALITY-MADE. Stable, solid and smooth operation. I feel comfortable and secure on it and it's productive-- it does what I wanted it to do for my upper body. It's hard to believe that I got this fine apparatus at such a reasonable (actually low) price. Honestly, for me it seems to perform as well as the $5000. machine in the P/T center.
