Very good taste; essential for me since I cannot cholesterol. The only thing I would caution purchasers about is that this item is made with Coconut milk and the coconut flavor is pronounced. If you are looking for plain Vanilla and not a big fan of coconut, then you might want to try a different non-dairy product like almond or soy ice cream.

Tastes Great for a Healthier Icecream

Not as sweet as most vanilla ice cream, which is kind of nice, really. You do have to let it warm up out on the counter before you try to scoop any out. It's hard as a rock, you'll bend your spoon if you try it without letting it soften a bit. Tastes great for a healthier ice cream choice. I use it to top cobblers and hot pies allll the time! And just fyi, other “SO” brand ice cream aren't as “hard” as this vanilla one is.
