The Tork Master 2400 fits 1967-81 Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth Torqueflite A727 automatic transmissions (Non lock-up) with 24 spline input and a 10 in. bolt circle. Don't let the exceptional value fool you into thinking Tork Master Converters are not packed with lots of quality features, making them the best value-priced street performance converters money can buy. These converters perform best when paired with stock to modified engines up to 350hp/350 ft lbs of torque, and lighter weight applications, like street rods. The Tork Master will provide noticeably quicker launches and harder acceleration while maintaining normal daily driving qualities. Upgrades like a new precision alloy steel pump drive tube, needle thrust bearing when factory equipped, new thrust washer between turbine and cover when required, and pressure tested and fully balanced by expertly trained technicians. Notes: Higher stall converters can generate more heat, so we highly recommend adding a transmission cooler. Not recommended for big block, supercharged, plate-type NOS or trans-brake applications. Works great on a mild small block 360
I've been beating it up for several months now. The stall isn't what they claim. In fact, it isn't very noticeable. It starts to pull/grab around 1,600 RPM It grabs hard at 1,800 RPM in my 70' Duster and you know that's already a pretty light car. And I stripped a couple of hundred Lbs off it as well. So, this would have a slightly higher stall in a bigger/heavier car. The tiny 5/16 bolts are a dead give away that this converter is NOT meant for a hi-po motor. Been building cars/motors over 40 years. Though I didn't put this car on a dyno - I'm confident in saying it's around 300 horses. So, take all that with a grain of salt. And again, I've been mashing the throttle down to the floor an awful lot. I don't know if it can handle abuse like power-braking. But I'm on my second set of rear tires and the converter feels just as good today as it did when I first installed it 3-4 months ago. A strong YES - for my recommendation.
