The best oil money can buy.

Mobile 1 is consistently ranked the best oil that money can buy. That's why it's used in all of the very expensive racing engines. I've been using it literally somewhere around 20 years and have never had a problem with an engine. For me trying to save a little money on oil doesn't make sense at all. Using the best oil is just cheap insurance to protect your engine. BTW, just saw YouTube video that says you should prefill at least part of the filter, to avoid a starting a dry engine (while it's filling up the empty filter).

Proven results using only Mobil 1 engine oil

I have been using this same oil for 140,000 plus miles on one vehicle with a 5.3L engine and 135,000 plus miles on another one with a 4.60L engine.I recently had the heads pulled off one vehicle and the mechanic could not believe the lack of carbon build up on the valves and head. When I told him what oil I was using he said don't change anything because he had never seen heads this clean with the mileage I had on it. Been using it on both vehicles since they were new. Prior vehicle had over 500,000 miles using the same oil with no history of any engine work performed. The 500,000 mile engine was changed at every 3,000 miles. This was prior to extended mileage oil being available. The other 2 get changed at every 5,000 miles using fully synthetic extended mileage (20,000) oil.
