Perfect for guitars that 9 size strings are just a little stiff feeling on. I love this set for practice learning new stuff also so I can go longer without abusing my fingers bending. Don't sound thin

I bought the strings for my son, he plays the guitar. He had never played with strings that the gauge was 8.5 to 40 but overall they were very good strings except that the 8.5 gauge was just a little stiffer than he was used to and that his first choice preference is an 9 gauge
