Works well but paint chips
I bought my KitchenAid with all attachments in April 2025. I use the dough hook once or twice per week for about 10 minutes on low or second lowest speed. The powder coating has chipped multiple times and then it ends up in the dough. The hook itself is durable, the coating is not.

If the beater sits too high, it won’t mix properly; too low, and it can scrape the bowl—neither is ideal for your dough or your attachments. Dough hook chips
Unfortunately after switching from beater to dough hook, it's been chipping at the bottom. The paint ending up in the food. Not good. I've lifted the head but this is not the right height for the beaters and whisk. Very annoying.
