A staple for mixing or as a gift.

My experience with Smirnoff has been positive. I think of it as a good base for mixing, especially for something like a cosmopolitan. It's a pretty accessible vodka and can be found as a staple at the LCBO. If you're looking to take a bottle to a party, and not wine, this is a good choice. It's reasonably priced and comes in a variety of sizes. It tastes fine both chilled or at room temperature.
