I just put together 2 of these. The first was a breeze, the second was tougher as pieces didn't mesh together quite as easy as the first. Still I'm happy with the finished product. These are wood but its very light and the sides & shelves are thin panels. If your looking for something heavy, real looking wood these are not them. I got the black though and don't care about the wood look, I wanted them black. Cannot speak for the look of the wood coloured ones. For being light the are sturdy and look identical to the picture. Exactly what I needed without having to spend a fortune. Used as master night stands.
