This is my second Tripp Lite UPS

We have many brown outs and black outs during the monsoon season. This is my second Tripp Lite UPS and I am still using the first one which is almost a year old. I like having my computer, monitor, gateway and other items secure if the power goes out. So far, the outages have been of short duration and I can't comment on how long the battery lasts. But I like being able to have time to shut down as much equipment as possible when it does happen.

I bought two of these units to use as backup power supplies for two Dell rack mount servers. These UPSs work great and the optional software to monitor the UPS devices. I will be buying either other units like these in the future or other products from Tripplite.

Perfect for my needs

Use it to protect my home entertainment system. We have frequent voltage drops (brownouts) and momentary power outages. This is dangerous to electronic equipment and is inconvenient when it causes my TiVo to reboot (which takes several minutes to come back up). This UPS handles those problems admirably. I also like the ability to see the load utilization on the front display.
