You can actually see this stuff work if you wait a minute or two before flushing. I had renters that had their water turned off and filled up the toilets before being evicted. I was afraid to flush them so I poured in about a gallon of water then a pouch of the enzymes and let it set overnight. I was able to flush the toilets the next day. I checked with my plumber to see if that was OK and he said that was fine and much better than using some of the stronger chemicals that can damage the pipes. That house was on city sewers and doesn't have a septic but the Drano pouches did the job.
