The SINGER Seam Ripper and 60" Tape Measure Combo is the perfect addition or replenishment to the tailor or seamstress’ basic sewing notions. A durable and flexible vinyl tape measure works well on round and flat surfaces, measuring clothing, fabric and even people. Side by side inches and centimeters make conversions simple and fast. The 4-inch seam ripper with a solid black plastic handle is easy to maneuver and durable, great for opening seams, repairing quilts, taking out clothing tags and removing buttons and snaps. When not in use, place cap onto the seam ripper to prevent dulling the tip. These are the basic set of tools to any sewer's tools.

Dual purpose
I not only use the seam ripper for it's original use but I have packages delivered and the seam ripper is great for slicing through the tape. No fighting with scissors or a knife to get the box open. The tape measure is a good one as well but have no dual purpose for it.
