So the first machine I received was shipped to me in a beat up box and broken thread holder. I didn't realize that even though I purchased from Walmart I was actually buying from a third party marketplace vendor. I found out the machine was previously purchased by someone else and returned broken. Then they resold it to me. That's why it wouldn't work. A little bit of a run around to get it returned. Still waiting for refund. I ended up finding one in store and purchased. This one works great. Highly recommend. Easy first serger. Does everything I want it to do. I had to watch a YouTube video to work out one kink in threading but once I figured it out it works like a dream.
