Bought this for car camping, it doesn't only keep food cold, it will keep it frozen even when unplugged! Great insulation in it. Saw a few reviews of people saying it doesn't cool their food fast enough, but you just have to set the temperature when it's empty before you fill it. That way it keeps the temperature down no problem. I did a 3 day camping trip with no electric hook-ups at the camp site. I had the fridge turned on while I was driving, and unplugged it when the car was off. I didn't even need to plug it back in until the end of the trip and it kept food nice and cold, even frozen. (I did have a few frozen foods in there that helped keep everything cool). I've had it for about 2 months now, used it for a month straight in the house when our house fridge broke and this little thing didn't have any issues. Capacity-wise, it has deceptively more space than you think. I packed our entire Camps-giving meal for 3 people in there (turkey legs, Mac and cheese, green beans, stuffing, etc) plus other random items and it all fit without a problem.

I took This item with me camping in my truck. It has the ability to either plug in your cigarette lighter. There is an optional battery that you can get for it. And you can also plug it in at your home inside. It works very well keeping things cool. Or you can also freeze them. It was advertised as being able to do both at the same time. Freeze and keep cool, but you can't. It's either one or the other. All in all , it was a good item , and I do recommend it
