The texture of the outer cup its very like soft but the kind of soft as if you had just exfoliated your bald brothers head but he then went out without using lotion.

very good cup, use for iced coffee. when reading the reviews people say does not keep drinks cold. this is not an insulated cup, nor does it advertise to keep things cold. if you need a cup for iced coffee or something similar that you are going to drink in a reasonable amount of time, this is perfect!
