I have started dealing with horrible reflux in the last year and this is the only off brand that literally works exactly the same as the name brand. I've tried 3 other off brands and they don't work right for some reason, but the equate version absolutely does. It's been a blessing to save a bit, and it works perfectly.

Does the job without the price.
Generic formula. Lot cheaper than the brand name. Spouse has had reflux for many years. Prilosec came out and it was a godsend. Doctors didn't want to prescribe it at first. Finally other reflux medicine came out. Then they sold it OTC. It's cheaper to buy this way than pay the copay for a prescription. This takes care of the chronic reflux and soothes his stomach full of polyps. It may lose effectiveness after several months, in that case switch to another type for a month. It helps keep down excessive heartburn, reflux and GERD. Long term use, have supervision by a doctor. Spouse takes two a day, morning and night. I have taken this periodically at one in the evening, for a week at a time, for burping stomach acid into my sinuses and trying not to inhale it… losing weight and watching what supper is also helps. Having a good three decades in dealing with reflux (spouse) this works. The price is good. The most important thing is to take this at the same time every day. If you are taking this long term do so under the advice and supervision of a doctor.
