Excellent Battery Powered Oral Irrigator...

Excellent Battery Powered Oral Irrigator that allows you to replace the two AA batteries when needed. Other irrigators on the market have non-replaceable batteries welded within their units that must be recharged with an adapter - but once the battery reaches a certain number of recharges the battery weakens and the unit is useless. I know about this because I used to have a portable Water Pik that was great until the battery welded in the unit lost it's rechargeable strength. I decided to buy Panasonic's Oral irrigator because it allows the consumer easy access to replace two regular AA batteries when needed. Also, this unit has two pulsing speeds - regular and stronger pulsing. One drawback was the price - I think Panasonic overpriced this unit. I think they would sell more units if they lowered the price, they would wipe out the other brands on the market.

Great little flosser

After the second Waterpik cordless unit died I decided it was time to find one that wouldn't give up shortly after the warranty ran out. I liked the fact that it is truly portable and uses actual batteries. I love that it is collapsible and the wand can be tucked into the unit. If you've tried othe cordless units and had no luck, give this one a try.

Economical & healthier

This is the first oral water irrigator I have ever bought. I am pleased with its small compact size and its collapsible water tank. The noise is not loud or annoying at all. I need 2 full water tanks to clean up my entire mouth, using the level 2 power. The irrigator is easy to hold and use, but I had some trouble opening the battery lid with a coin (it stops at one point without opening the lid, so it needs to be twisted further more, and aligned with the marked dots). The instructions' book is well written and easy to follow. This will replace the flossing devices that are more expensive than water and a few batteries. Overall, I am glad I bought the portable oral irrigator, and I am sure it will last a while since Panasonic makes good products.
