Sony WF-1000X/BM1 True Wireless Noise-Cancelling Earbuds with Built-In Mic

got these about a month ago as a secondary headphone to my MDR-1000X (don't want to where those outside in the -30 degree Canada winter), and I'm happy with them . The sound and noise cancelling as good as the MDR, but then I'd never expected them to. For its size I would say they sound great, maybe a bit weak on the bass. They are very secure as well, tried shaking and nodding my head very fast but it never fall out of my ear. I wish the app has a bit more options (I heard there is more for the other two 1000Xs). I didn't occasionally hear the signal in the right ear drop (usually when enter or exited a place with open or saved wifi) but it does reconnect right away 95% or the time. The battery is a little low, but I'm ok with it as I only use it in 20-30 min spurts. I did hope that the case would have a light indication how much battery it has left, several times I didn't know if need to charge them or not.

I bought these over 6 months ago. I have used them almost exclusively at the gym, multiple times a week. At first, even the smallest bud would end up hurting my ear after 30 minutes, but now they are comfortable the entire time and require very little adjustment once in my ear. Great product except for the charging part. In can take several tries to get the ear pieces in just right in the case for them to charge. It is mysterious since each try to go in and there's a click and they are solidly in place. That means you have to always double check they are actually in and charging. You can imagine the frustration to take them out expecting them fully charged and instead finding them dead. I would like more reliable charging, USB-C charging and an external charge indicator.
