Among sour candy aficionados, Shockers, a chewy round candy, similar in shape and texture to a Chewy Spree, is often considered the best, most sour candy money can buy. From the first taste, Shockers are extremely tart, closer in flavor to sour WarHead candy than to the Chewy Spree they resemble.

But it's a complex tartness: According to our pseudo-scientific testing panel, Shockers can be chewed or sucked for different effects -- if you choose to chew on your Shockers, the intensity of the tart flavor will subside a bit but remain until the candy is gone; if you choose to suck on the candy, the tartness fades more quickly, replaced with a fruity, sweeter flavor. Shockers come in four sour, fruity flavors: green apple, grape, strawberry and blue raspberry.
