Replacement distributor cap compatible with popular Chevy®, Ford® and Chrysler® MSD distributors. This cap will also fit Original GM® points distributors. This product is not created or sold by GM®, Ford® or Chrysler®.;

MSD molds our most popular V8 distributor caps in-house. These terminals offer improved locking connections and the Rynite material is extremely strong with excellent dielectric properties. Plus, most caps have an optional wire retainer that is supplied with these caps to lock the wires in place. If you are upgrading from a points socket style cap you will need to change your boots and terminals. MSD offers a set of nine as PN 8849.;

need to know

the distributor is very nice quality. we used the billet. however when you use this distributor to replace a points component you need to supply a separate 12v reference to the external coil. the instructions don't say this but the vehicle wont start without it
