Using a Hurst® shifter on your vintage 3 or 4-speed used to mean you had shove a square through a round hole....literally. Factory shift handles were round and Hurst® as well as some other shifters use a flat, or rectangular shaped lever. This shift boot is an exact copy of an original except it's been created with a rectangular shifter handle hole that solves that problem. It made from compression molded E.P.D.M. rubber for strength and resistance to heat aging. Features a textured skin that matches the original appearance exactly. It also has a steel insert just like the stock boot and installs directly in place of an original. It'll look like the factory built it that way.;
