I love this stuff but it is EXPENSIVE compared to a normal fabric softener. It’s a small bottle of liquid so logically it couldn’t last as long. And idt I’m using too much but maybe I could use less. I’d bet the non-gentle ones probably take less per load but I’m always too scared to try non-gentle products because my skin always ends up feeling on fire. However, this product leaves the clothes both feeling and smelling CLEAN as well as a lot less wrinkled. Like it puts it back to original shape. Almost makes them look new (it obviously cant fix faded colors or anything magic like that). It doesn’t leave them smelling amazing or anything, because it has no scent, but they are left smelling laundry fresh if that makes sense. Zero residue feel. And it doesn’t leave my thick cotton shirts and whatever else feeling softer than they should or at all greasy. I favor thick “rougher” cotton over the soft cotton or poly materials and normal softener always has a way of making them feel closer to that type of material and drives me nuts. I keep buying it when i see a manufacturer coupon for $2 off and that has definitely made it more reasonably priced. The only negative thing I MIGHT have noticed is that I THINK my shirts may be struggling more with deodorant stains. This is only my 3rd bottle and I’m not even half way done with my second bottle. This could just be a coincidence in timing/age of the shirts, the new scent of decadent that I recently switched to or I’m only noticed it because I was paying more attention since I was using a new product. Don’t take this possible negative as a reason to not try it unless others are saying it too. I have gotten better at turning my shirts inside out when I was them just in case. To summarize. If you have skin problems that limit your options like me then you need to try this. BUT know that, while it is more expensive, you’ll never feel like going back to a normal softener.
