Mahatma Rice Unites Mahatma Authentic Saffron Yellow Rice is blended with spices, onions, and garlic. When cooking rice, the long grain rice granules maintain their separate, long shape and become fluffy, so you can use them alongside your favorite rice dishes, like burritos, tacos, and Spanish-inspired paella. This rice recipe isn't too spicy, plus it's fat-free, cholesterol-free, and made without added preservatives. Mahatma Authentic Saffron Yellow Rice is Certified Gluten-Free and Certified Kosher by Star-K.

Hob - From Ambient - On the stove. Bring 1-2/3 cups of water and 1 tablespoon tub margarine* to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in Mahatma® rice mix. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Fluff lightly with fork and serve. Microwave - From Ambient - In a 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1-2/3 cups hot water, 1 tablespoon margarine*, and Mahatma® rice mix. Cover and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power and microwave for 17 minutes. Fluff lightly with fork and serve. If your microwave does not have variable power settings, Follow your manufacturer's directions. Makes about 2-1/2 servings, 1 cup cooked each. *For authentic flavor-use 1 tablespoon olive oil instead of margarine.
