Smells amazing, and my 4C hair loves it. I added Extra Virgin Olive Oil for punch as recommended on the label, put on a plastic cap and went under moderate heat for a few minutes. It's usually impossible for my hair to take in moisture while wet but my hair drank this right up.

This mask is full of natural oils and other ingredients that really penetrate the hair shaft and it hydrates really well. It contains no protein so it's purely a moisturizing product. But it's perfect for my very dry hair and leaves it soft and shiny and healthy looking. It's a super rich formula so it doesn't take much to get good coverage. I use it with heat for about 45 minutes and I also use it overnight or in lieu of regular conditioner for 10-15 minutes. It works well any of these ways. It also smells divine and rinses out completely, never weighing my hair down. It's by far the best drugstore mask on the market. Yes, it's a little pricier than typical drugstore products but it's well worth the extra money. I love Shea Moisture products. I also use the Raw Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner and my hair has never looked or felt better. The shampoo is sulfate free so it's color safe and the conditioner is nicely hydrating but lightweight. My hair is color treated and highlighted and I also heat style several times a week so dryness is always an issue. My hair is no longer parched thanks to these products and it has never looked better. I'm a Shea Moisture convert and so is my hubby. He uses the Coconut and Hibiscus formula for curly hair and his hair is really gorgeous. We both love Shea Moisture a lot and we both have hair to die for, lol!
