OVERVIEW

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S is an all terrain, all weather tire manufactured for crossover vehicles and SUVs. Cooper offers a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The tread design features sawtooth snow groove edges and zigzag grooves that find firm grip in dry, wet and winter weather road conditions. The Adaptive Traction (AT) Technology combines the special five-rib tread design with the silica-based tire compound that ensure a safer driving experience. The compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread elements firmly grip the road surface all year. The Aqua Vac Channel and the unique center grooves avoid hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The enhanced hydroplaning resistance and exceptional all weather traction promote a safer driving experience.

The model easily performs both on and off-road. The special five-rib tread design with the open shoulder design and different shaped tread blocks improves the loose, soft and uneven terrain performance significantly. The constant road contact and the silica-enhanced compound ensure a secure drive on all terrain surfaces. The tread design also maintains a clean footprint thanks to its self-cleaning nature that disperses mud and snow and ejects rocks stuck between the tread elements. This keeps the tire's road contact at all times, while also preventing stone retention, which can cause harm to the tire's casing.

The Discoverer AT3 4S promotes excellent durability and handling. The internal structure features a two-ply polyester casing and twin steel belts reinforced with a single-ply nylon cord. The stronger construction boots the tire's durability by preventing deformation under the driving pressure affecting the tire. As a result, the tire is stronger and is capable of handling both on and off-road performance well. The strengthened structure also boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The polyester casing allows the tire to closely follow the road surface which stabilizes the structure against the driving forces and upgrades the steering responsiveness and accuracy to the driver's instructions.

All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance.
