Price hike in seconds, possible glitch

This toy is soo cute and has a very soft feel. I purchased this for a friend for Christmas. I want the whole set. My only problem, as I ordered this plush, the price changed on the website right afterwards. The price for these were on sale for $5. After I placed the order, the price changed on its own to $12.97. I cannot believe the price hike right after purchase. I do not know if I was the cause of this "glitch", but I found it really weird, because the other one's are still the same sales price of $5. I feel someone should look into the matter. Thanks for your time.
