Serta Sertapedic Bloom 5" Dual-Sided Crib & Toddler Mattress, Sustainably Sourced Fiber Core, GREENGUARD Gold Certified

I don't know a lot about crib mattresses, so I selected the Serta Sertapedic® Bloom Crib and Toddler Mattress to evaluate and rate for Spark Reviewer and then gift it to friend who needs it badly. The Serta Sertapedic® Bloom Crib and Toddler Mattress measures 52" long x 27.5" wide and just shy of 6" deep. It arrives in a full size box, and the mattress is sealed inside the box in a plastic wrapper that is well marked with safety warnings. Perfect condition and imparting a sense that the manufacturer takes quality and safety seriously. Sure enough, according to the manufacturer's information, "All Serta crib mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold Certified and meet the strictest standards offered by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, which recognizes products with low chemical emissions, contributing to improved indoor air quality". The mattress is astonishingly lightweight which should be mighty helpful for that constant bedding changing. Or to place in a car even. It's pale pink in color, scattered with pairs of little white cartoon sheep. The mattress is very dense - at 140 pounds, sitting on the mattress on the floor, I didn't feel the floor. In fact, I'm not sure I even put a dent in the mattress. The packing label describes the mattress content as "firm thermo-bonded polyester fiber core". The mattress meets or exceeds flammability standards. There is a 7 year limited warranty. This has to be one of the easiest decisions to make in buying mattresses - ease of use, cleanliness helpful, quality fabrication and attention to safety details. I'll hand it to my friend with confidence that she couldn't find a better deal in all aspects.

I really like how firm it is. The one we got with our crib was like super soft and my daughter rolled into the middle. It was like a burrito almost. This one is soft but still firm. Amazing! I like that it's pink also! Even though you can't see it. The price is the best also!
