Seems like a no-brainer!
Why didn't someone think of this a long time ago? The simple act of plugging in a USB cable just became 50% less infuriating. When you're dealing with tight spaces between a wall and PC and don't have line-of-sight to the port itself, believe me...you want to be using these cables. Now if we can just get the industry to adopt these ends as standard on every peripheral...
