Greenlee Hawkbill Lockback - Lovin' it!!!!

My daughter bought me this knife for my 62 birthday in March. Perfect gift from a perfect daughter! The knife is tight. The factory edge is keen. The craftsmanship is excellent. The Greenlee/Schrade partnership is a homerun. The knife quality is in line with historic Old Timer standards. For the money, you can't beat it. We fitted the blade with a better quality brass thumb stud that compliments the functionality and aesthitcs of the knife. The wood is beautiful! The ergonomics are comfortable. You better buy one while supplies last. Buy one for you...buy one for your son...or daughter! I need a couple extra stars to do this knife justice.

Nice but Not Perfect

It's fairly unique and comfortable, but not perfect. I didn't like the finish on the handle and there were many rough transitions between wood and metal. I sanded it a bit, refinished the scales, and shined up all the metal. Now it looks very nice. I, too, added a brass thumb stud for one-handed opening, and I love it. There is an issue with the scales not being fastened 100% tight. If this were my EDC, I'd be worried. But, it's not, so I'm not.
