Hanover Traditions 7-Piece Patio Dining Set, Cast Aluminum Top, Seats 6, Tan

After researching other less expensive patio sets which had many bad reviews like rusting and bubbling on the paint, my wife and I decided to spend more on a set that would last - instead of spending $1,000 every couple of years to replace inferior sets. This set is made of Alumicast which is light and has properties that won't rust. We'll see after a couple of years. Shipping was a day late and we were never notified of the change. The shipper, Pilot, was impossible to contact and Walmart had the same info we had - no updates. The set comes in 3 big boxes - one for the table, one for the 4 stack chairs (no assembly), and one for the 2 swivel chairs. You need 2 people to assemble both the swivel chairs and table. The instructions could be printed bigger and are a bit vague, so you have to study the diagrams closely. All the parts were there including the wrenches, but I recommend using a ratchet set to speed things up. We hit a small snag with the 1st swivel chair as some bolt holes did not line up perfectly. Took a few minutes to push through that. The other swivel chair and table went together quite easy. The set was packed very well and is also well built. The included cushions are basic and we will upgrade in the future. The manufacturer cut costs there and understandably so. When we researched decent outdoor chair cushions, they were quite expensive for a set of six. For now, the stock cushions will suffice. The set looks great on our deck. The chairs are comfortable - especially the swivel chairs which rock back a bit. This set ships ground freight which is included in the cost - figure around $300. I can't review the longevity of this set, but it looks that it will withstand the weather for many years. I do recommend if you're willing to spend the money.
