I was skeptical of this drive based solely on the price. I am pleasantly surprised that it's r exactly as advertised. New, not refurbished. Real world read speeds of around 280 MB/s which is faster than expected for a budget NAS drive... tested with no bad sectors and i was able to fill the d drive right up to the 8TB limit with no issues. I plan to buy several more

This is an enterprise grade drive built for NAS 24/365 service. I am using mine externally to be the main working drive for a home entertainment system. At 290 movies, 50gb of music, plus an unknown number of photos, this unit is only half full! (Backup is two 4TB Seagate Barracuda drives.)

Ordered and received within 1 week, Great price for an 8TB NAS drive. Should note that the 8TB works out to be formatted to 7.27TB on a Windows system. Drive passed surface test with no errors. Comes with a 3 yr warranty, but note it is not through Seagate but through Walmart and 2nd party vendor- GoHardDrive which has good reviews. Hopefully time will tell!
