Scotch Double-Sided Foam Mounting Tape, 1/2" x 150", 1 Roll

As a teacher, I can say that this stuff is GOLD. It never falls down but is tricky to remove when you don't want something on the wall anymore. The trick is to use a hair dryer. We use this to mount things to project boards—it really makes things “pop”. I only wish I had remembered to get the thicker version, but double stacking it worked perfectly. I highly recommend for students, teachers and those wanting something that holds to painted cinder brick school/dorm walls.

My latest home project was putting up mirrored tiles that came on a rolled sheet, which had adhesive on one side and tended to retain that roll-like condition. The surface of the wall was not smooth. For each sheet, I added this foam tape around the edges, just underneath the cover sheet for the adhesive side. Once I placed one end of the sheet on the wall, all I did was pull off the cover sheet on the adhesive side of the sheet roll and this foam tape as I was smoothing it down. I repeated this process for the remaining sheets. Then I pulled off the film protection of the mirrored side. This foam tape addition did the trick of maintaining the tile sheets in the desired position on an uneven surface. I would highly recommend it.
