It is indicated for uncomplicated iron deficiency anemia. NU-IRON 150 is a capsule that can be taken once or twice a day and contains 150 mg of Elemental Iron (as a polysaccharide-iron complex). NU-IRON 150 contains more elemental iron than many other iron supplements and can generally be taken once-a-day. NU-IRON uses a polysaccharide-iron complex that is well absorbed and well tolerated resulting in effective iron therapy without unwanted gastrointestinal side effects.
