I have only used this little charger a couple of times. So far it's been fantastic! You can set it up on the battery and forget it, it automatically switches to maintain mode when charged. It's not huge but it's fine for me. Extremely easy to use. Long cords/cables.

Lightweight 15Amp Battery charger

I am very happy with this Schumacher battery charger. It is light weight and easy to carry with the built in handle. The cables and battery clips are of good quality, and it is rated for 15 amps fast charging. I have noticed in the reviews that some of them don't work correctly and damage batteries by overcharging. These reported failures look to be "infant mortality" kind of thing that electronic products typically have. I checked my unit by putting it on my unused car's battery. It started automatically at the 15 amp setting and when I came back a couple of hours later it had progressed through to the maintenance/de-sulfation mode with the green LED lighted. This unit is NOT a booster pack though it looks like one, and it cannot assist with starting current.

great automatic gel charger

this unit has a gel section. I had others in the past where shops and mechanics and so on tell me you can charge a gel battery under the AGM and it won't damage the battery. Wrong, i used it for a optimum gel battery 2 or 3 times and it killed the battery and the battery was only 5 months old. I found this one and decided to give it a try considering it had the gel/agm/acid options. glad i did. charger works great even on trickle charge for my gel battery. this charger is used for my garage car and my once in a blue drive. I highly recommend this charger due to ease of use and it bounces back and forth from battery % and voltage. love this unit. Now don't forget this is a automatic charger. I was looking for a manual charger to charge if the battery was completely dead. but as of right now i have no issues with this charger and loving it
