Recently purchased this charger as my older one of the same brand finally stopped working after about 20 years, Hooked it up over night and found out the battery was REALLY dead. The charger was hooked up correctly and all lights indicated charging was under way. A local auto parts store confirmed that the 18 year old battery was gone and YOUR CHARGER WAS FINE. Now looking for a chance to charge another battery before I give another review.
