Seems to be Working

I was having brown out problems on my AV equipment from a mini-fridge. So far I have not had those issues any more since using this voltage regulator.

Cheap Insurance

I have been using Voltage Regulators since 1995, & selling them since 2001. I knew they worked well, but I always wondered if they could actually handle a lightning stike, now I know. One of my customers was in his living room by his computer, when lightning hit the adjacent kitchen. The pressure from the blast threw him across the room, & the lightning fried his fridge & welded his garden gate shut. Turns out I'd heard the bang from my house almost 3km away (as the crow flies, I measured). It was memorable because it was so loud I thought it hit only a block or 2 away. His computer was on at the time. The computer still worked, & so did the APC AVR. God bless America :)

fantastico!

I bought this to help mitigate voltage fluctuations caused by my laser printer. The printer was connected to my battery backup (UPS), and the UPS would need to revert to battery power to support the printer as it warmed up for printing. I tried bypassing the UPS and plugging the printer straight into the wall but still had the same problem. While one option might have been to move the printer to a completely different room, i.e., on a different circuit of my home's wiring, this was not practical for me. I think these events may have shortened the battery life of my UPS.
