Do not be fooled by the photo you see when purchasing this product. When it was delivered, I thought it had been crushed in my groceries. However, it appears that this is the way it comes because they vacuum freeze it. It looks fake, almost like dried playdoh wrapped in plastic. There is a very small ,also crumbled, piece of packaging that says the taste is best when you bake it however, when it smells like a shoe, I was hesitant to place it in the oven. After the time and temperature required I pulled from the oven and to no surprise it did not enhance or rise or gain any shape. Only able to dip it into a sauce or butter can't spread anything on this unless you borrow Barbie's knife. It's not bad tasting. It's very sourdough-y

This bread really tastes great but was pretty pricey, although it was long loaves. Problem i had is at packaging they vacuum sealed it so tightly it flattened the bread out tremendously. I was embarrassed delivery to a new Mom that is gluten free but after getting the delivery didn't have time to get a different bread. I bought 2 of the packages that actually contain two loaves and they were both exactly the same. The new Mom said she has bought this bread before and it didn't look like that. It really tastes great, I've been gluten free 13 years but it tastes like bread I remember and didn't have a weird texture except for being compressed tightly.,
